Oatmeal for Breakfast

I am not a morning person, so whatever I can do the night before to make my mornings more pleasant, I do. Coffee is a given. I make it for Chad and set the timer so that he can have coffee for his ride to work, then just reheat and drink what he left in the pot when I get up.

Another thing that I do is make breakfast at night (thanks Uncle Lenny for telling me about this).

I put the following in a pot and cover with a lid:

Oatmeal (whole oats)
Water
Raisins
Cinnamon

In the morning all I to do is turn it on low heat just to warm it up, since the oats are already "cooked" in the water. I serve it with butter, sugar-in-the-raw, and a little milk. Sometimes I add maple syrup to it if Chad is eating!

It makes breakfast time around here very simple and I like simple!

Proud Mommy & Daddy!

Horsin' Around...

Tyler & Chloe with "Jelly Belly Bell". They are getting ready for their
very first lesson on her with DeVaughn.
Her name was "Jelly Belly", however, Chloe added
the extra "Bell" to the end of her name.
We all thought it was cute so we
started calling her "Jelly Belly Bell"!

DeVaughn is teaching them that there is much more to riding a horse than just riding!

Tyler's 1st ride

All by himself...

Chloe was listening very carefully to DeVaughn while Tyler was riding.
She told Tyler to hold the to the reigns like he was holding an
ice cream cone (with his thumbs up). Right when Chloe got on
she asked..."Where's my ice cream cone?"

A little nervous...

Wave to the crowd, you did great!

Isaac taking it all in with Grandpa!

Isaac gets his own turn on Jelly

I even rode that day!

First time to ride Duelly...ever!
First time to ride a horse in over two years, it was fun!

Isaac and the Vacuum

I wanted to make sure Isaac was not afraid of the vacuum cleaner, so while he was just a few months old, I would vacuum with him in the room and sometimes hold him. As he got older and was able to walk, he would follow me around while I vacuumed. Then one day he kept getting infront of me and holding up his arms like he wanted to get on it, so I put him on! This video is Isaac's 1st ride on the vacuum.
