I cannot believe Liam is already 6 months old! What a wonderful blessing and joy he has been to us. He is so sweet and has the biggest smile, which he shares with everyone! Isaac is a wonderful big brother. He is actually loving him now and has become very protective of Liam. He loves to lay by him and tries to share his toys with him but I keep having to remind him he needs to wait a little longer. I am so excited for the next 6 months. Thank you Lord for this precious gift!

Growing Boys!

Liam is moving all over the place (scooting...he's not quite on "all fours" crawling, but he is trying very hard)! Time to get something out to keep him confined. I didn't do that with Isaac but Liam puts EVERYTHING in his mouth and is very fast so it's a little scary when I have my head turned for just a moment. He is also cutting a tooth. Right bottom tooth came in on March 9 (5 1/2 months old). He is almost sitting up too. I have a feeling it'll happen the day after I take him for his 6 month pictures (that's what Isaac did)! On most nights he goes to bed between 8:30p and 9:30p and wakes up between 6:45a and 7:45a.

Isaac is just about potty trained! I thank God for that winter storm at the beginning of February. It really helped us focus on potty training. We were stuck, Chad was home for a couple of days and we let him run around naked (most of the time). Let's just say, Isaac has a ton of Monster Jam trucks now because of it. That has been his reward when he goes "number 2" in the toilet. The only problem is...I am not sure how to stop giving him one now that he does it on his own?!

I thought we were in trouble a couple of weeks ago when we were outside kicking the ball and he pulled down his pants and peed. I laughed and so did the neighbors across the street! The next day out front again, riding scooters he pulled down his pants...thinking his was going to pee...nope, he pooped. It was hysterical then he walked a foot away and peed. He hasn't done it since then thankfully!

Beautiful January Day

We spent the day with Ryan, Karli and Roxi at their house by the lake. It was a beautiful day...we were able to sit outside, grill, and watch the guys throw the frisbee and football.

Isaac and Roxi...playing with the nine puppies in the neighbors yard. They were so sweet and starving for attention!
Roxi asking mommy & daddy if she can take at least one home!
Liam...relaxing, getting a little sun!

Thirty-Four

Yummy 5 Layered Cake
(it has mandarin oranges and crushed pineapple in it)

Not enough candles!

I love my boys!

Liam

The candles were already out, we were just pretending!

Sweet Boy!

Aunt Danielle & (soon to be) Uncle Chad's puppy, Abby!

We were outsideto send off a "wish lantern"...(I said a prayer for my kids instead). It was the coolest thing, but it was a sample of something that Danielle is doing on her wedding night so I didn't put the pictures on here. I'll post those after her wedding!

I had a wonderful time turning 34, thank you everyone who made it so special!

LIFE!

Friday - January 7, 2010 Liam (15 weeks) turned over from his back to his belly and now you cannot keep him on his back.

Tuesday, January 11, 2010...While driving to my parents, Isaac was eating an apple and after a while he said, "Mommy, the animals are coming out!" I wasn't sure what he was talking about until I looked in the rear view mirror and saw that he was referring to the seeds that he exposed when he bit into the core of the apple. I laughed and had to write that one down.

I cannot believe that this is what I have become! When I was pregnant with Liam I was so sick and so tired and gained too much weight. I expected this pregnancy to be the same as it was with Isaac - I had energy, I worked out every day, I was organized, etc. I was so wrong. The sickness wore off but I kept gaining weight and was very uncomfortable. I did only what I HAD to do just to get by. Okay, in the summer...I did go the the pool every week to hang out with my girl friends and let Isaac swim with his friends (getting into a swimsuit was so very humbling). Anyhow, besides that...I only did what I HAD to do to survive! I put off blogging, thinking I'd pick up right after Liam was born. Oh, and that "nesting" phase that I was so looking forward to never happened, so I really never got my house in order either. I was a mess. I say all of that to say this: I really thought life was going to be so much easier after I had Liam. Wrong Again!! Not only am I trying to adjust to two instead of one, poor Liam has been so colicy and that takes sometimes hours to get him settled down and once that happens I have to spend some time with Isaac because of all that time I had to help Liam. So in the mean time...dinner, house work, laundry...yeah right! That's one of the reasons I haven't allowed myself much time to get on here and have fun. I kept telling myself that once my house was clean and organized and laundry is put away and all that other stuff was done THEN I could have a little fun. Guess what. My house is still disorganized, not so clean and laundry is still on the stairway (at least it's folded though)!

I just couldn't keep missing little things (memories) because my house isn't in the shape I want it. I know that'll come with time...and a few good friends who want to come help - just kidding!. But in the mean time...I hope to get better at spending a little more time thinking about and sharing the memories we make as a family!
