Christmas Haiku

Last year we started a little "family tradition" thanks to Chad. Every couple writes a haiku poem (A haiku poem is a form of japanese poetry consisting of 17 syllables in 3 metrical phrases of 5, 7, 5) for each family member, along with a hand-made card. My hand-made cards usually consist of blank notecards and 3-D Christmas stickers on the front. Simple, but cute! This year Danielle and Chad (her boyfriend) really out did themselves. The cards were enormous and the poems were great. Below is a picture of Chad (my Chad) & I holding our poems.
